This is where Swiss nationals can register provisionally online. Please complete the online form. You must deregister from your previous place of residence before you move.

A definitive registration requires you to provide us with:
Your certificate of origin (original, only for Swiss citizen; family record book / family certificate in the case of a married couple and/or birth certificates of any children (copies); residence certificate or tenancy agreement; health insurance policies of all family members.

Foreign nationals seeking registration are required to present themselves in person at the Register Office counter together with all family members. The following documents will be required: passports/ID cards; passport photographs; tenancy agreement; employment contract; plus the fee of CHF 40.00 per single person/family.

• Residence certificate or tenancy agreement (copy)
• Sub-tenants: landlord’s confirmation (copy)
• Registration fee CHF 35.00

Once the documents and registration fee have been received, an acknowledgement of receipt of documents will be sent to you by post.
