Welcome to Switzerland’s most beautiful and diverse city. Lucerne boasts both urban and rural areas, culture and sport, the lake and mountains, innovation and tradition. 

Through our Welcome Desk for all new arrivals to the city, we provide you with expert advice to ensure your life in Lucerne gets off to smooth start.

Welcome Desk

The Welcome Desk is located at Obergrundstrasse 1Externer Link wird in einem neuen Fenster geöffnet. right next to the Customer Centre.

The Welcome Desk opening times are:

  • Tuesday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Thursday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

On Thursday, 12th of february (Fasnacht in Lucerne) and on Tuesday, 24th of march (International  day against Racism), the Welcome Desk will be closed!

We live and breathe a culture of welcome!

Several times a year, we invite all new residents to a welcome event and we look forward to raising a glass with you there to celebrate your arrival in the city of Lucerne. You will receive the flyer with the dates of the welcome events when you register with the Residents’ Register Office.
