Regular dialogue and contact between the business community and civic authorities ensure that the needs of business inform the city’s economic policies and development. The officer in charge of economic affairs, the staff manning the business unit, and Business Development Lucerne jointly act as first points of call. The economic affairs unit is the main point of contact and advice for companies; it facilitates contacts with the authorities (taxation, migration, building, etc.) or is itself a source of assistance on specific issues concerning the city.
